A STORY OF MEN AND PASSION
History
Since 1770, Charles Orban Champagnes has embodied the work and vision of several generations of dedicated winemakers. In Troissy, in the heart of the Marne Valley, our family business combines traditional know-how and respect for the terroir to create authentic champagnes that reflect a passion passed down from father to son.

Terroir
The Orban family has been growing vines in Troissy, a village on the left bank of the Marne, just upstream from Dormans, since 1770. The Troissy vineyard covers 331 hectares, mostly planted with Meuniers (86%).
The terroir expresses itself fully under the expert hands of the récolatants-manipulant. Each plot is carefully cultivated, each grape lovingly processed, to give birth to authentic champagnes, reflecting a family passion and preserved know-how.

Around 1960, Charles bought a press and had a new winery built in order to be completely autonomous and create his signature style. At the end of the twentieth century, the house was handed over to the Rapeneau family, in Champagne since 1901, who continues to perpetuate the Orban family tradition to this day.
