A story of men and passion

Family origins: the spirit of the Marne Valley

The history of Charles Orban Champagnes began at the end of the 18th century in the charming village of Troissy, in the heart of the Marne Valley. Born into a family of passionate winegrowers, Charles Orban decided to found his own house in 1870, convinced that the unique terroir of Troissy could rival the greatest Champagne vintages. Drawing on the region's traditional grape varieties—Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir—Charles laid the foundations for a House that values the artisanal expertise passed down from generation to generation.

A family home resolutely focused on the future

In the 2000s, the house began a new chapter, combining family traditions with innovation. Now run by a younger generation, the house has adopted environmentally friendly practices, incorporating sustainable viticulture into its vineyards. At the same time, it has strengthened its international presence while remaining deeply rooted in the Troissy terroir. Today, Charles Orban Champagnes embody a subtle balance between heritage, modernity, and an unwavering commitment to the Champagne lifestyle.

The house continues to delight champagne lovers with cuvées that reflect the richness of the Marne Valley and the family spirit that has endured for over 150 years.
